Paulette ResendesPaulette Resendes

Paulette was first introduced to Five Star Ranch through her daughter, Charity, at the Sportsman show in 1994. Her first coach was Kathy Farrokhzad. By the end of the first information-filled session, Paulette was hooked on the love of these very giving animals.

Paulette progressed in her riding to participate in the Five Star shows and then to local saddle club shows. To advance her riding even further, Paulette progressed to part-boarding (Doodie- her first love at Five Star).

Paulette then went on to purchase her first horse-Jaay-R. Jaay-R did not start as the perfect horse. Rearing was his form of refusal. To help resolve this, Paulette then took the Gail Haynes Apprenticeship program which focusses on ground work, behaviour and performance improvement. Paulette was able to resolve the rearing issue and continued with Jaay-R in CompetitiveTrail Riding.

Paulette's next step with Five Star was the Coaching program. Paulette completed it on a part-time basis over 2 years, and then received her certification with Equine Canada as a Level One coach. Paulette has a great love and talent for teaching, and is very passionate about this role.

After completing the Coaching program, Paulette became the Barn Manager at Five Star, and remained as such until our move to Campbellville in 2006.

Paulette is still one of our most valued coaches, and we are proud to have her as part of our team.

On a personal note, Paulette has seen many families come and go, and has loved every minute of her time with Five Star. It has been Family to her.

"I feel very lucky to have met all the people who have come through our doors, am looking forward to meeting the many more to come. Over the years, I have also had the great pleasure of working with many interesting, hard-working young people. As this new chapter in my life begins, I look forward to every new session, and meeting new members of our ever-expanding family. Because once you come in and spend some time with us, you will always be part of the extended Five Star family. I feel very lucky that Charity found Gail at the Sportsman Show so many years ago".

Well Paulette, we at Five Star and our extended family feel we have been the lucky ones; we are proud to have you as part of our team.
