Karen Godson
Animal Behaviourist and retired Veterinary Assistant, Five Star Ranch Manager Karen Godson has a lifetime of experience in the horse industry. Starting in England at age 3, Karen was formally trained in Hunt Seat Equitation, and since moving to Canada has successfully shown in both English and Western shows.
She has done it all, from breeding registered Quarter Horses and Welsh Ponies, to buying, training and selling young horses. Karen has worked in barns across Southern Ontario as Barn Manager, Manager of Operations, Head Instructor and Show Manager/Event Co-ordinator. She has also worked as a Veterinary Assistant and has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to Animal First Aid and Animal Husbandry.
As a Certified Reiki Master, Karen spends her off-work hours helping to heal sick, frail, post-surgery and nervous, shy, traumatized horses. She is the proud owner of a miniature poodle named Blue, and is a breeder of top quality registered Championship Stock Siamese, Tonkinese and Balinese cats.
